Some of the restaurants visited, tried out and reviewed into detail are listed below. Quick impressions of all restaurants we try can be found on my flickr Restaurant page. Most of the restaurants are located in Brussels. But there are also the occasional ones in Amsterdam or Berlin, and other cities we visited (Paris anyone?). Our reviews are strictly personal and we pay for our dinners ourselves.
Do you have a favorite restaurant? If there is a restaurant you would like to recommend, please don’t hesitate. We are always ready to try out new restaurants, eat new food, review and write about it here on Glorious Food and Wine.
Are you a (newly opened?) restaurant and you don’t mind having two food bloggers over, eating, reviewing and then giving their honest opinion here? Then let us know. We’ll be delighted to discover your restaurant.

I would add ‘Chez Paul’ in Paris near the Bastille area. It is absolutely exquisite and is known among locals. It is small but that only adds to the cozyness of the place. A must!
Also, have you been to “Yamato”? It is located in the Saint Boniface area in Brussels. You have to go early and there will surely be a line already, and inside the tiny restaurant you sit around the ‘bar’ where they service delicious noodles and gyoza! i go back everytime i crave noodles and has never disappointed!
Hey Haelim. Thanks so much for the tips. Any are very welcome.
Chez Paul – good to know. We are off to Paris soon for the weekend. I’ll look out for it.
Yamato – one of my old time favorites and local. Love it !!!
Hey – Great site! Coming to Brussels for a romantic weekend with my girlfriend and was wondering if you would be able to recommned a restaurant. Not too worried about the budget, but would really like something that gives a real sense of Brussels and Belgium in a nice romantic place with plenty of atmosphere.
Any thoughts?
Hi Andrea,
I was wondering if you had any suggestions for a good place to go out and eat for a birthday party of ±25 people? (also a task to look for something near a bar/club ) am frankly quite lost at this point.. thought of bazaar but hmmm.. any other suggestions?
Have you been to Auberge des Chapelliers, just off the Grand Place? I had the best duck with figs I’ve ever eaten in there (admittedly about 6 years ago). I’d love to know what you think of it.
You mentioned that you’d just come back from Prague in one of the restaurant reviews. Any hot tips for eating well over there? Merci!
Oh, I used to live in Brussels and I LOVED Les Brassins and In’t Spinnekopke. What I wouldn’t give to move back. Your site makes me rather “homesick” for my country away from country. Le sigh.

Hi, just found our site while searching for info on manioc. I love Brussels, and am glad to see I’m not the only one who thinks it’s a great food city. (BTW, I live in Paris.) My husband and I went to a great restaurant there on our honeymoon three years ago. It was called Le Loup Galant, I think, and it was located just off the St. Catherine fish market. We returned last year to discover that it had changed hands, but fortunately, the food was still excellent. I can’t remember the new name, though. Does that ring any bells? If you haven’t been, I highly recommend checking it out. For Paris suggestions, have a look at my blog – I cook and dine out and write about it.
